(hopefully) this will follow some major changes that I want, need & intend to make during the next 16 mnths of my life.I will be 50 in 16 months and hope & pray I can make some changes by then. I dont have much confidence in the outcome of this which is not a brilliant start, but it is a start. . I'm bringing up 3 children alone, Sometimes I think I'm doing it well . . .other times not so well. Always I think in the back of my mind it will be different, better . . .when I grow up.

A Lion in Winter
A lesser known Bee Gee's song . . . I have "roared" along to this many a times in my drinking days. No idea why, but there was something I connected with about being a "Lion in Winter" . . . I'm not even sure what it means. I didn't care. It was a good song to belt out. I have a story about it . . . A new year's story too but I will have to come back later with it as there are hungry lion cubs to feed . . . Catch yer later

the Bee Gees - fantastic singers but never for me their stuff...
ReplyDeleteMy friend and I were BeeGees crazy - the stuff before the unfortunate disco phase - and I never heard this one. There was a book - not a classic - out at the same time that they made a (probably tv) movie on. They never explained what the title meant either.
ReplyDeleteFurtheron,
ReplyDeleteYes brilliant voices. I wasn't keen until I lived with a BG fan who introduced me to a lot of the older stuff . . . I was quite impressed.

ReplyDeleteYes this even pre-dates the pre-(unfortunate)disco stuff. Very talented family. Some of the really old tracks, in my opinion, are the best.
I hadn't ever heard this one. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know, I'm really enjoying your blog =)
ReplyDeleteL,
ReplyDeleteThanks, Im looking forward to reading more of yours . . . Just wish I had more time to read, to write, to think. Im still trying to find a space in local school for my 4 yr old daughter . . Then I will have more time :-) Until the powers that be insist I take the first crappy job going. Well see about that. Take care.
